Miniature Sculpture & Art Challenge                                              

CALL FOR VISUAL ART                                                                                                               

Exhibit dates: July 26th – August 20th, 2024                             

This is an open call, non-juried exhibition and is open to artists 18 or older. Artists may submit up to three original miniature works of art. Judging for Best in Show awards in the 2D and 3D categories will be performed by an arts professional.

SPECIFICATIONS FOR TWO-DIMENSIONAL SUBMISSION:  All 2D painting and drawing media. Image size no larger than 3.5” x 5”. Outside frame no larger than 20”. Photographs and digitally produced images will not be accepted. Entries must be properly wired for hanging.  No saw-tooth hangers.

SPECIFICATIONS FOR THREE-DIMENSIONAL SCULPTURE SUBMISSION:  The sculpture should be no larger than 6”, including base. Work must be ready to display and free of chips, scratches, cracks or other quality issues that are not integral to the formulation or interpretation of the piece.

Submitted works must be completed within the last two years, not copied from any other artist or published materials nor previously exhibited in Cumberland County. 

ENTRY FEE:  $20 for 1st entry; up to 2 additional entries $15 each. Multiple 2D images in a single frame are subject to entry fee per image. Each entry must be accompanied by a signed entry form.

Awards: One Best of Show for 2D – $200, One Best of Show for 3D – $200

Entries will be accepted July 18th and 19th from 11am to 5pm; July 20th from 10am to 2pm and July 23rd from 11am to 5pm.

HAND-DELIVERED ONLY.  No late entries will be accepted. 

SALES:  All works must be for sale.  In the event a work is sold, CFS will retain 30% commission of the sale price.  State tax is applicable to all sales.  No work may be withdrawn early from the show. Payment from sales will be made to the artist within 30 days after the close of the exhibit.  Price must remain the same as listed on the entry form.

LIABILITY:  All reasonable care will be taken in handling, storing and installing the works of art submitted for this exhibition.  CFS Inc., its employees or members, are not responsible for loss or damage incurred before, during or after the exhibition.  CFS reserves the right to refuse any work that does not comply with specifications. Your signed entry form signifies your agreement with the terms and conditions stated herein, including granting permission to CFS to reproduce accepted images for advertising.
