Jávea or Dénia for a second home, what would you pick?

My wife and I are choosing between Jávea and Dénia for a house we will use from October to March and later full time. The numbers I collected since February, every Sunday I write into the same table what I see on https://alegria-realestate.com/ for both towns, so it is not one day impression but 31 weeks.

Jávea: villas with pool near the Arenal mostly from 480 to 700 thousand, older houses in the Montgó zone cheaper, but the road up is steep and in winter with rain I am not sure about it. Dénia: townhouses near the marina from 260, and the ferry to Ibiza is right there, which my wife likes very much. Also Dénia has the hospital in the town, Jávea has only the small clinic.

Distance to Alicante airport is almost the same, 100 km against 106, so this is no argument.

What I cannot read from a table: how the two towns feel in January. Is Jávea really quiet after the season, or is it only quiet at the Arenal and the old town is normal? And the Montgó road, does somebody here drive it in winter? We come again in November for one week to decide.
