Alpha Romeo Tango 2020

A military art exhibition open to all Active Duty, Reserve, National Guard, Veterans and Retirees, and their dependents,  (all Services), 18 years or older. The exhibit will be on display from February 26th – March 24th, 2020.  A People’s Choice award will be presented.

No entry fee. Two (2) entries per artist may be submitted. Submissions are not limited to military subjects and all styles and subject matter are welcomed.

SPECIFICATIONS FOR TWO-DIMENSIONAL SUBMISSION (INCLUDES PHOTOGRAPHY):  Work should not exceed 40”x40” including frame and must be properly wired and prepared for hanging.  No saw tooth hangers, tape, cardboard, string, etc.  Mats should be clean and free of debris or pencil marks and framing glass clean and free of fingerprints or dust.  Ensure frames meet properly in the corners and that no scratches, chips or improperly attached wires are present.  No prints or mass produced work please.

SPECIFICATIONS FOR THREE-DIMENSIONAL SUBMISSION:  Work must be ready to display, be of a manageable size and free of chips, scratches, cracks, or other quality issues that are not integral to the formulation or interpretation of the piece. If a piece requires any particular care or treatment, please inform studio staff so they might share the information with prospective buyers.

Please submit a brief bio showing your affiliation to the U.S. Military.

NO LATE ENTRIES WILL BE ACCEPTED

It is the responsibility of the artist to ensure their artwork is delivered and retrieved by the assigned deadlines.  If not picked up within 30 days of the pick-up date the artwork will become the property of Cape Fear Studios.  If extenuating circumstances prevent you from retrieving your work please contact our Administrator at 910-433-2986 during business hours.

PRICING:  The value of an artist’s work is determined by the artist. All work sold by Cape Fear Studios is on consignment with a commission standard of 60% to the artist and 40% to CFS.  Work may be labeled NFS (Not for Sale).

OPENING RECEPTION & AWARDS CEREMONY:  We strongly encourage all participants to attend the reception and awards ceremony on 4th Friday, February 28th, 2019, from 6:00pm to 7:30pm.  The People’s Choice award will be announced at 7:00pm.  Voting will begin on Thursday, February 27th at 11:00 am and will close at 6:45pm on opening night.  It is a wonderful opportunity to support fellow artists while representing your own work.  This event is free and open to the public, and you are encouraged to invite friends and family to the celebration.

LIABILITY:  All reasonable care will be taken in handling, storing and installing the works of art submitted for this exhibition. Cape Fear Studios, Inc., its employees or members, are not responsible for loss or damage incurred before, during or after the exhibition.  Cape Fear Studios reserves the right to refuse any work that does not comply with specifications. Your signed entry form signifies your agreement with the terms and conditions stated herein, including granting permission to Cape Fear Studios to reproduce your artwork for advertising.

Pick-up of artwork:  Will begin March 25th all work should be picked up no later than March 27th, 2020
