Susanne Kohrman

Ever since grade school I liked to sketch movie stars and I was pleased to find out from my teachers that they were very accurate likenesses. Being a portrait painter I realized early that I could not strive to paint in the modern style. In order to make portraits look just like the subject, I needed to become a photo-realist painter. I studied under Tom Moore and I must honestly say that he is the one that taught me everything I know. I also took classes in Greece and in the mountains of North Carolina.

I am pleased to say that I do not require a down payment to start on a portrait. Only when it is finished and the client is completely satisfied will I accept payment. I have painted portraits of many well known-officials - the former mayor of Fayetteville, the first Prime Minister of Belize, bishops, and archbishops. I have painted the homeless, people’s beloved pets, and I always enjoy painting members of own my family.
