Artist statement

a thousand words...

I find such delight when capturing a moment or just a feeling of spontaneous emotion that speaks "a thousand words" in one painting.  When I look at the world, I see the color and design of objects around me.  It so amazes me.  God has blessed me with the ability to look beneath the surface and see the beauty of the color of the soul.  I so enjoy pushing it just a little out of the ordinary.  Painting with watercolor allows the depth of glazing to bring my subjects to light and life.  I am presently pursuing an ongoing series that expresses the character of people through the texture and expressions of their faces.  My paintings hang in local venues and private collections extending from Florida to New York.
