artist statement

Behind every painting, sculpture, or photo is a story...

I have had the privilege of growing up in a very artistic family.  My grandfather was a very talented watercolor painter and also worked for a New York advertising firm back in the 1930's.  My mother enjoys her detailed tole painting.  I started art lessons in my early teens, working in sculpture, oils, and calligraphy.  Needless to say, I travel with my camera because there is so much around us to be painted.  I appreciate all art.  Behind every painting, sculpture, or photo is a story.  Instead of words, we who are artists use a brush.
