Charlotte Lane

Charlotte Lane is a long time Fayetteville resident and an original member of Cape Fear Studios, from its inception 17 years ago. When she lived in Germany from 1952 through 1955, her dormant interest in art resurfaced while viewing works of art by the master painters of Europe.

In 1975 Charlotte began developing her talent during her first drawing class. That same year she became a member of the Fayetteville Art Guild and began an intense program of study in several media through excellent private teachers and Fayetteville Technical Community College. She attributes much of her growth as an artist to Joanne Roberts, Andre Carson, Tom Moore, and Petra Gerba.

Charlotte is a talented artist whose works have won awards in both regional and local art competitions. Most recently she won 1st place in the annual juried competition sponsored by the Arts Council of Fayetteville/Cumberland County.

The works of Charlotte Lane are represented in many private and corporate collections throughout the United States including:

• North Carolina National Bank
