Clay has been my passion for the past 7 years. I started out as a painter, but the process of throwing drew me in and it has been my favorite medium ever since. Sitting down at the potter’s wheel for hours and making cups, jars, plates, and more is my zen place. It is what I look forward to doing when I can be in the studio, and when life gets busy it allows me to unwind, almost like a reset button.

I enjoy making the forms as well as the surface decoration. My drawing and painting background can be seen in my narratives that I create on my vessels. Fitting them on a three-dimensional surface is incredibly satisfying. In order to access the full story you have to look at all of the sides, enhancing the interaction between user and object.
